Replacement Hold Down Springs and Pins for Electric Trailer Brakes

Could you please tell me what spring bushings and spring sidebars are in my tralers electrical braking system. Cant find them anywhere. Thank you

It sounds like you are talking about the parts that hold the brake shoes down. These parts include hold down springs that have little caps on them through which the hold down pins are inserted.

We have kit # AKBRKR-SHD which will work with AxleTek, Dexter, Lippert (LCI), IAC, and AL-KO 10 or 12 inch brakes with shoed widths of 2 inches or 2-1/4 inches.

On the top of the head of pin #T0978800 there is an L or a 7 depending on which way you have it turned. I have included the best picture we have showing this. There aren't any other markings on the pin.

It sounds like you are looking for shoe hold down spring pins such as those included with the kit, #BP06-120. The kit comes with the 2 springs and 2 pins for 10 inch brake assemblies.

If your brake shoes#bp04-065 are 10" x 1-1/2" you will need these brake springs #K71-362-00. The springs you were looking at #BP06-120 were for 2-1/4" shoe width.

I went out into our warehouse and measured the pin of the Shoe Hold Down Spring part #BP06-120 and found that it measured 3 inches.

In order to determine the torque rating for the lug nuts on your trailer you will need to know check out the chart I attached that shows all of the torque specs for all the trailer lugs available based on stud size, wheel material and wheel size.
