The Curt Class III Ball Mount # C45042 referenced in your question includes a pre-torqued 2-5/16 inch hitch ball. This exact ball mount is not available from the manufacturer without the hitch ball, but I do have an option that should work well.
I recommend taking a look at the Curt Ball Mount # C45154. This 2 inch ball mount features a drop of 3-3/4 inches or a rise of 2-1/2 inches. It features the same 7,500 pound towing capacity as the Curt unit you were looking at but also has a nice angled shank that allows for easier installation into the hitch receiver. It is compatible with hitch balls that have a 1 inch diameter shank. This is the closest option we have available to the ball mount you mentioned.
I have attached a short video demonstration on this ball mount that you can also check out.
