Does Demco Hijacker Autoslide Fifth Wheel Hitch Require Lube Plate

I have a demco auto slide with a tri glide locking plate do i need to use grease or is there a teflon disk i can use

You would not need a lube plate with a Demco HiJacker Autosliding 5th wheel trailer hitch because the hitch head will turn with the trailer pin box.

The locking plate # DM6095 has a piece on the bottom that wedges into the hitch head funnel. Then the force of making the turn will rotate the head and engage the auto-sliding feature.

If you are using a Demco manual sliding hitch like the Hijacker Premier #DM6076P-UL-21K then a lube plate like #RP83004 can be used. If you are using the Demco Hijacker Autoslide like #DM8550035 you can only use a lube plate that is a maximum of 3/16…

I attached a diagram and instructions on where and how often to grease the Demco Hijacker part #DM6077 that you have. It's recommended that you use white lithium grease like the part #L11354 for a cartridge for a grease gun.
