Question:

Do you recommend using a lube plate w Demco slider hitch? If so what kind if not what time of grease for hitch ?

If you are using a Demco manual sliding hitch like the Hijacker Premier # DM6076P-UL-21K then a lube plate like # RP83004 can be used. If you are using the Demco Hijacker Autoslide like # DM8550035 you can only use a lube plate that is a maximum of 3/16 inches thick so you can use the # RP83004 that is 1/8 inch thick. The Hijacker Autoslide head is designed to keep the head and pin box from moving independently so the autoslide feature will work properly. This will let you couple and uncouple easier, but it has to be a thin disc if you use a lube plate.

If your pin box requires a separate locking plate like the Demco Hijacker Autoslide Locking Plate for Trailair Tri-Glide Pin Boxes # DM6095 then you will need to use a thin layer of grease instead of using a lube plate as the wedge and the disc are not compatible.
