How Hard is it to Remove the Top Part of the Jack-It Trailer Mount Bike Rack Carrier
Updated 06/11/2018 | Published 06/09/2018 >
Question:
I have a fold down bed on the front of my trailer. Can you flip the top half of the rack down or take it off relatively quickly when traveling? Basically, how much effort does it take to remove the bike and get the rack out of the way of the bed for an overnight stop? Thanks.

The part the Jack-It # LC429756 that holds the bike rack part is held to the base assembly with one bolt. The bike rack itself is also held in with a bolt. So either way, whether you want to take off the whole top assembly or just he bike rack part, you are removing one bolt so it will be very easy to do. I have included a picture pointing out the 2 bolts I mentioned.
