Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Replacement Vortex Grease Cap for your Dexter Vortex 6-Lug Hub. Now, this is a replacement grease cap for your Vortex Trailer Hub, and its main job is to keep the grease sealed inside the hub while also keeping dirt, water and other contaminants out. That's gonna help your bearings last longer. Now, what's nice about this is that it's threaded instead of the typical drive-in style. So, for instance, instead of hammering this in and potentially damaging it, you're just going to screw this on and off.

That's gonna make installation and maintenance a whole lot easier. So, again, this is specifically designed to fit a 2,500-pound Vortex Idler Hub from Dexter with the 6-lug setup, including the hub and rotor combos. This comes with this one cap and one O-ring, as you can see here. And if you need more, obviously you'll just wanna adjust the quantity of your order. Size-wise, the outer diameter is gonna be 2.44 inches, and the threaded diameter is gonna be 2.82 inches, so you do wanna make sure that it's gonna match your hub before picking this up.
