Does Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch 76227 Come with Hardware to Install on a 2017 Subaru Outback

one review indicated they did not receive mounting bolts and trim with #76227 hitch, is that standard?

Trailer hitch # 76227 does not come with hardware because it uses nuts already on the 2017 Subaru Outback Wagon. The bumper beam on this vehicle fits over 8 studs in the vehicle frame and is held there with 8 matching nuts. This hitch will be sandwiched between the bumper beam and the end plate where it mounts using the same studs and nuts. I have linked the instructions for you to illustrate this.

The review you mentioned is actually referring to EcoHitch # 306-X7601 which comes with a sort of trim piece and new nuts. They were basically comparing the Draw-Tite hitch they did buy to this EcoHitch so that is where that comes from.
