Rooftop kayak and canoe carriers. What would you suggest for mounting 2-10 foot 56 lbs kayaks and a 146×37 wide canoe on a 2000 chevy suburban?

To carry a pair of kayaks and that large of a canoe with your 2000 Chevy Suburban you are going to need a roof rack and trailer.
The roof rack that will work for your vehicle depends on if it has the factory installed raised rails that run front to back or the factory installed tracks, and please be sure to look in your owner's manual to determine if your roof can handle the weight capacity of your canoe.
If your Suburban has the raised side rails and is NOT the Z71 model, the roof rack I recommend is the Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars # TH711420 (Black) OR # TH711400 (Silver) with Evo Raised Rail Feet # TH710401. You can lock this rack to your Suburban and protect your investment by adding the Thule One-Key System Lock Cylinders # TH450400.
Should your Suburban have the factory installed tracks that run front to back the roof rack options are limited and if it is NOT a Z71 model the best option is the Rola Aero which consists of crossbars # INXB115-2, Feet # INXS300 and Fit Kit # INTR501. There are no options for a roof rack if you have a Z71 model.
For all of the roof racks above I recommend putting your canoe on top and using the Yakima KeelOver Rooftop Canoe Carrier with Tie-Downs # Y04069 which has universal mounting hardware and uses 4 Gunwale brackets to hold your canoe hull side up. It also comes with 2 tie-down straps and 2 bow and stern tie downs.
To transport your kayaks you would need a trailer, and to pull it a hitch such as # 14080 is needed (this hitch fits New Body Styles with Amber Turn Signals) and you will also need wiring # C59236 to connect the trailer's lights (if you do not already have trailer wiring).
To add a trailer I recommend taking a look at the Malone Malone MicroSport Trailer with J-Style Carriers for 2 Kayaks # MPG461G2, which is designed to haul a pair of kayaks and plugs into a standard 4-way connector on your vehicle. It is designed for use with a 2" hitch ball, and I have added a link to our selection of ball mounts, hitch balls and a help article which explains how to find the correct rise or drop for your ball mount.
