Thule Roof Rack - Feet - TH710401 Review

Today we're taking a look at the Evo raised rail feet for Thule cross bars. These four heavy duty feet mount Thule cross bars to your vehicle with raised factory side rails. You want to pair these with Thule cross bars, to create a complete roof rack system for your vehicle. They have the integrated rubber lining, which keeps your existing rails fully protected from any type of surface damage. It's an easy tool free installation. It does come with the included torque tool, which actually clicks when the clamps are secure, which eliminates under or over tightening the clamps to the side rails. Now I want to point out, that each one has a plastic lock core that gets installed, but that is plastic. I do recommend checking out the one key system locks, to secure your foot packs to your vehicle's roof.

That's going to secure your roof rack system to your vehicle. Those are available and sold separately at etrailer.com.Now the maximum tower load capacity, is 220 pounds. Thule does cover this product with a limited life time warranty. Very simple. I do have a bar here, because I want to show you how it installs.

It's a really simple process. We have the end cap here, which we can simply remove. This is how we tighten it onto the raised side rail of our vehicle. So to install it onto your bar, you need to make sure that the end caps from your bar are removed, flip your bar over, take your foot, and all you have to do is slide it into that track. Really that's all there is to it.Once you have that done, you position your foot as needed, open it up, and you do that by taking your tool, putting it on the head of that bolt, and loosening that bolt. As you loosen that bolt, these feet will spread apart.

That's going to allow you to place it onto your raised side rail.Once you have it on there, make sure that it's sitting properly. Then you take the included tool, place it back on the bolt, and all you gotta do is tighten that bolt. Now as you tighten that bolt it does two things, it tightens the feet around the raised side rail, and then it tightens the foot pack to the bottom of the bar, so that way it doesn't slide. It's an easy system to install, very quick, easy to use design. That's going to do it for today's look at the Evo raised rail feet for Thule cross bars.
