I have #84 spindles on my axle and want to replace hubs and bearings. Does this number make sense 84555-1 hub???

The 84555-1 trailer hub that you mentioned in your question makes perfect sense and it refers to the Dexter Trailer Idler Hub Assembly # 84555UC1. This idler hub is indeed compatible with the # 84 spindles on your trailer, which use the # L68149 inner bearing and # L44649 outer bearing. As long as your existing hubs are idler units and feature this same 5 on 5-1/2 inch bolt pattern, these will work great as replacements.
The bearings, races, and grease seal are included with the hub, so they won't need to be obtained separately. If you would like to have a spare bearing kit available, you can use the Bearing Kit # BK2-100.
