Installing the Tekonsha wiring part # 118760 on the 2020 Honda Pilot is a simple process so please do not worry. I do recommend to obtain a trim panel remover like part # ALL648544 or a flat head screw driver before starting. You will also need a 3/32" drill bit and a philips head screw driver.
Open the Honda Pilot's tailgate and open the access panel inside the storage compartment like pictured in photo B and C. Then remove all of the floor coverings to have better access to the plug. There should be a white tow plug behind the access panel. Insert the T-One connector harness into the vehicle's white tow plug.
If the Honda Pilot has backup sensors plug the T-connector harness with the single blue wire connected to it to the white plug. If it does not have backup sensors plug in the T-connector cord that has multiple wires attached.
Now that you have it plugged in, the next step is to find a suitable ground location. The ground location needs to be a clean metal spot, free of rust. Drill a hole with the 3/32" bit and secure the white wire with the eyelet and screw provided.
You can now route the 4-way through the floor of the vehicle by removing the jack storage compartment door. There will be a rubber grommet in the floor of the Pilot. Route the 4-way to the grommet area through the grommet hole to jack storage area and to the center of the vehicle.
The next step is to insert the fuses included in the kit. Locate the fuse box on the driver side near the front of the vehicle under the hood. Insert the 30 amp fuse in the #2 location labeled Trl main. Insert the 2, 20A fuses in the #3 spot and the #11 spot labeled Trl Charge.
Locate a flat surface that is out of the way to mount the black box of the wiring harness. Then use zip ties to secure the extra wiring slack to prevent damage. Replace the floor coverings. Mount the 4-flat with the provided bracket.
