Lift Kit for 2,400 lb Torsion Axle

Hello I have a1993 jayco 1206 popup with a factory dexter axle.That i would like to do a axle lift on. I dont know if i need then #9 or#10 lift kit.The Id tag on the axle says 2400 lbs max. cap.mod.09243. Thats all the numbers on the id tag.

From your description your Torflex axle has a weight capacity of 2,400 lbs and the correct Torflex Lift Kit is # K71-707-01, which is for #10 Torflex axles that have capacities between 2,300 lbs to 4,000 lbs. Please note that this kit cannot be used with Torflex axles that have 3" high profile brackets.

Torflex Lift Kit # K71-723-01 is for #9 Torflex axles with a 2,000 lb capacity. I checked and your 1993 Jayco 1206 has a GVWR of 2,440 lbs so a 2,000 lb capacity axle would be too light.

Since we know your Dexter Torflex axle is a 2,400 lb axle that would mean that it's a number 10 and the lift kit part #K71-707-01 would be what you'd need. The brake assemblies part #23-47-48 would also be the correct parts as well.

In order to determine the torque rating for the lug nuts on your trailer you will need to know check out the chart I attached that shows all of the torque specs for all the trailer lugs available based on stud size, wheel material and wheel size.
