Disconnecting Lippert Powered Stabilizer Jack Power to Operate the Jack Manually
Updated 05/08/2018 | Published 05/07/2018 >
Question:
It says to “disconnect the motor from the battery” before manual operation. Can this be done just by pulling my main battery bypass switch or does it need to be disconnected closer to the motor?

Basically as long as power is removed before you manually operate the jack it doesn't really matter which method you follow. The issue is that should the motor start to operate off of electrical power for some reason the manual crank would start to spin and that can cause injury. So that is what you want to avoid and the only way to ensure that is to make sure the power source is removed from the equation.
