Updated 07/17/2025 | Published 07/14/2025 >
Question:
I bought a new Travel Trailer, with 2 regular 12 volt batteries. For storage, Summer and winter, outside, that has a 15 amp outlet near it, what do you reccomend for a battery maintainer. I assume i just turn off the battery disconnect and plug it in.

Hey Dale! I recommend the NOCO Genius Smart Battery Charger # 329-GENIUS5 to keep your batteries maintained in storage. This will plug into that AC outlet and works with 12V batteries up to 120Ah. Since it is a smart charger it will keep them topped off without overcharging and damaging your batteries. As you said, you will turn off your battery disconnect and then plug in the charger and hook it to the batteries. It also has a weatherproof design with an IP65 rating.
What kind of travel trailer do you have?
