Question:
Unfortunately, there doesnt seem to be anyway to mount the bracket to the underside of the Honda bumper since it is some type of plastic and doesnt seem sturdy enough. I dont think drilling the hitch tubing would be wise and the extensions seem to be designed for square tubing and look like they would twist on the round tubing on the Draw-Tite hitch.. Any suggestions?

Expert Reply:
The bracket extension for your Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch round cross tube is the way to go to mount the Curt 5-way flat bracket # C58303. The no drill mount bracket extension # 18140 will hold the round tube tight and will not twist without significant force from direct impact.
Another great option for a 2 inch receiver is the Curt Easy Mount Bracket for 4- or 5-Way Flat Trailer Connector # C58001 or # C58002 for a 1-1/4 inch receiver. These mount to the collar of your receiver tube, so they won't twist.
For this mount to work, you will need to route your wiring from inside the vehicle to the outside. This can often be done through a rubber grommet or along trim. Often this wiring is simply stored inside the cargo area.
