What is the Height of a Timbren # TTORSEQ Bump Stop
Updated 04/23/2018 | Published 04/20/2018 >
Question:
Part Number TTORSEQ: Hi, I own a 2015 Toyota 4Runner Limited AWD. My question is, I have a tent trailer. When its hitched on there is no sag on the vehicle. But when I add a bike rack in between the vehicle and trailer hitch, there is a sag. What are the measurements of the Bump stop. The space between the frame and the axle is between 5 inch to 5.5. Rough figure. Im wondering if the bump stop would be long enough. Or should I look into an air bag system or stiffer springs.

If you check out the attached review video you will see that at the 2:33 mark he measures one of the bump stops that comes with the Timbren # TTORSEQ and it has an overall height measurement of 3-5/8". This kit is confirmed to fit your 2015 Toyota 4Runner so unless you have lift on your 4Runner it will fit perfectly.
Since you only experience some sag when you are towing your tent trailer and carrying your bike rack I really wouldn't go with an air bag system. The installation is more difficult and you have to maintain the air bags. The Timbren system is a pretty easy installation and requires no maintenance.
The only time I would recommend going with an air bag system is if you are always loading your 4Runner down or if you plan on towing a few different trailers frequently.
I have attached an installation video on a 2012 4Runner and the installation details for you to check out as well.
