Fifth Wheel Hitch for B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Rails in 2008 Ford F-350

Question:

Our truck is a long bed 2008 F-350 4 WD that already has an existing B&W gooseneck hitch so it appears that the Conmpanion BWRVK3500-5W would work for us. However, we have a question. Since we already have the gooseneck hitch in the truck, will we need the underbed mounting kit?

The B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck # BWGNRK1108-5W also serves as the underbed rails for the B&W Companion and does not fit other fifth wheel hitches. Don't let the lack of options dissuade you though because this is the fifth wheel hitch I would recommend for you even if you did not already have the base rails because the Companion is considered by many to be the highest-quality fifth wheel hitch available and height should not be an issue because it can adjust from between 16-1/4" to 18-1/4". You did not say what bed size you have on your F-350 so if you have a 6-3/4' bed you would need the sliding Companion # BWRVK3400-5W and if you had an 8' bed you would need the fixed Companion # BWRVK3500-5W.

The B&W gooseneck hitch # BWGNRK1108-5W doubles as the underbed mounting kit so you would not need it. And since you have an 8 foot bed in your 2008 Ford F-350 you are correct that Companion # BWRVK3500-5W will work for you; it will mount directly in the gooseneck you have in your truck bed.
