Based on my research, your Dexter 221-0023-00 pin box features the same basic measurements as the Leland 7920 pin box. The only difference between the two is the distance from the front and back bolt holes to the center of the king pin (which is what you referred to with your 25-7/16 inch measurement). This simply means that a replacement king pin designed to replace the Leland 7920 will work on your trailer, but the king pin will extend out a bit more when compared to your existing unit. It's possible that this might affect the manufacturer warranty on the trailer.
For an Air-Ride coupler king pin that is designed to replace the Leland 7920, I recommend the Trailair Air Ride # UF35-946208 or Reese 5th Airborne Sidewinder # ST400-5AS16K. This replacement will do a great job of cushioning shock that results in a much smoother ride with less fatigue for both the driver and passengers.
I have attached the written installation instructions on this product that you can also take a look at.
