Does Placement of Equal-I-zer Trailer Frame Brackets Affect Performance
Updated 04/04/2018 | Published 04/02/2018 >
Question:
Hi, I have an equalizer 4 pt 10,000 lb and was wondering about the sway bracket installation distance. I currently have it at 32inch from the center of hitch as directed, but Im trying to add a cargo carrier to the tongue that is not fitting as Id like. I think if I move the sway brackets forward 2 inches roughly it will make everything fit better. My question is, do I lose any sway control or balancing by moving the brackets up to about 29-30? I know it says they can be mounted between 27-32inch but Im curiously if 2inch will have any affect on the performance. Thanks!

You may have to make a few other adjustments to your Equal-I-zer system # EQ37100ET after moving the brackets forward but other than that the system will still perform the same. As long as the brackets are within the range specified in the instructions you will be good to go.
