Question:
What keep someone from cutting the pin with bolt cutters? Is it hardened?

Helpful Expert Reply:
If someone was willing to attack the BOLT Trailer Coupler Lock # BL7032493 with bolt cutters they were most likely pre-meditating stealing yours or someone else's trailer. What these devices are mainly designed for is stopping the opportunist thief who would maybe be tempted by an easy target. A determined thief with enough resources, time, and access to a trailer is most likely going to get what they want.
This lock is basically designed to convince a thief to move on.
