Size of Holes and Dimensions of Reese Universal Mounting Brackets # RP58314

Question:

I am interested in using a set of these brackets to mount a rear bumper to the rear underside of the dump bed on a Cub Cadet Volunteer utility vehicle. The bed is made of the same thickness metal as a pickup truck, and since Im not mounting a 5th wheel hitch in it lol! Im going to use some good carriage bolts with 1 x 2 x 1/4 metal plates above the bed in the bed channel. The bed mat will cover them fine. The new bumper is a 61 black diamond step made to fit S-10s and Ranger pickups, and has the bumper mounts that mount to those trucks. These brackets would work well with the short end vertical to mate to the sides of the bumper mounts and the longer ends horizontal up under the flat bed bracing metal, which is about 4 wide running in a criss-cross pattern under the bed...this thing is built tough. All that to get to this, heres my question: How large are the holes in these brackets? What diameter are they, so Ill know how large of a bolt I can use? I really appreciate your help, Ive been looking like crazy to find something to work for what I need, and I think these will work great, but I just cant tell what size holes they have from the pictures. Can you also give me the dimenstions of the brackets? Id appreciate that as well! Thank you!

I went out to the warehouse and measured the Reese Universal Mounting Brackets, part # RP58314. The size of the round holes on the brackets is 9/16-inch and is made to accept a 1/2-inch size bolt. The size of the elongated holes on the top of the brackets measure 1 inch long by 9/16-inch wide. Again, made for 1/2 inch bolts.

The short brackets will measure 5-5/8 inches long by 2-1/2 inches wide. The long bracket measures 6-7/8 inches long by 2-1/2 inches wide. I am including a picture that will show the measurements on the mounting brackets.

@KyleS If I mounted these on inside of frame turned to the outside would the rails fit even if I needed to fab a spacer. Im trying NOT to remove a Curt dbl lock gooseneck hitch but that may be only option as useing a Curt XRail now and my 5er is 20K GVWR and the XRAIL is 20K GVWR so no safety margin if loaded to max.

@Stirling No they wouldn't. I know you've asked this before and I wish I could give you a better answer but it simply isn't possible to mount 5th wheel hitch rails while also having a gooseneck.
