Should the Erickson ATV E-Track Tie-Down Kit # EM09160 be bolted through a wood trailer platform and secured to a metal cross-member or is bolting to the wood secure enough to hold down a Polaris Sportsman 900lbs?

We installed the Erickson ATV E-Track Tie-Down Kit # EM09160 by attaching them directly to the wood floor of a trailer. Check out the install video I attached for more info on that.
I'd recommend using a backing plate like the part # e96RR to add a bit more support if you were feeling cautious.
