This tie-down kit secures your ATV or other wheeled equipment to your trailer. The ratchet straps have E track fittings that clip into the E track anchor slots on the wheel chocks. Includes 4 wheel chocks and 2 straps. Fits 10" - 30" tires.

  • Tie-down kit secures your ATV, lawn mower, or other wheeled equipment in your trailer
    • 4 Wheel chocks and 2 ratchet tie-down straps included
  • Wheel chocks with E track slots permanently install in the bed of your trailer
    • Chocks are positioned in front and behind wheels to stabilize equipment
    • 2 Anchor slots on each chock to accommodate wheels of different sizes
  • Ratchet straps have E track fittings that snap into anchor slots on chocks
    • Sturdy ratchets help achieve maximum tension on the straps
    • Release lever disengages each ratchet when you're ready to unload
  • Strong polyester strap webbing
  • Rust-resistant powder coating on wheel chocks
  • Easy, bolt-on installation
    • Mounting hardware not included
    • Backing plate is sold separately

Specs:

  • Fits: tires from 10" to 30" in diameter
  • Strap dimensions: 2" wide x 7-1/2' long
  • Maximum load (break strength): 4,500 lbs
  • Safe working load limit (WLL): 1,500 lbs

Note: Tie-down straps must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the straps being used. For example, if you are using straps with a WLL of 500 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 1,000 lbs, then you need at least 2 straps to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.

Secure your ATV or lawn mower for trailering with these tie-down straps and wheel chocks. These straps keep your wheeled equipment in place on your trailer while you are driving. The adjustable ratchet straps work with tires of various sizes. They fit tires with a diameter as small as 10" and as large as 30".

This tie-down kit for ATVs is easy to install and use. The wheel chocks are permanently bolted onto the bed of your trailer. To load your ATV or lawn mower, drive over the chocks so that the rear wheels are wedged between them. Then run the straps over the tires, and clip the E-fittings on the ends of the straps into the anchor slots on the chocks. There are 2 anchor slots on each chock to accommodate wheels of different sizes. The ratchets make it easy to tighten down the straps, and they help keep the proper tension on the straps. When it's time to unload, simply disengage the release levers on the ratchets to loosen the straps.

  • Availability of Backing Plate for E-Track Wheel Chock
Hey Steve, yes we do have backing plates for the e-track wheel chocks part # EM09160 like the part # e66RR for a set of 4. The holes will definitely line up.

  • Can Erickson E-Track Wheel Chock be Used with Decking Boards
Hey Raymond, yes we do have backing plates that can be used with the Erickson Wheel Chock kit part # EM09160 like with the # e89RR. These also can be used with decking boards. What kind of SXS do you have?

  • How Should the Erickson ATV E Track Tie-Down Kit Be Installed?
Hey Richard! I can't speak for our install video but I reached out to Erickson this morning for clarification. This is the information I received: Rear mount is the recommended way to install the Erickson ATV E Track Tie-Down Kit w/ Ratchet Straps and Wheel Chocks item # EM09160 because of the potential for the rear end to jump up in a sudden stop situation. The force placed on the ATV from your tow vehicle pulling forward being significantly less than a sudden stop is the reasoning. As...

  • Do All 4 UTV Wheels Need to be Strapped Down with Erickson ATV E-Track Tie-Down Kit # EM09160
I checked with Erickson and even their pictures show just two of the wheels being secured using the ATV E-Track Tie-Down Kit # EM09160. Basically you want to use all 4 of the chocks meaning you would secure 2 wheels. The rear wheels are recommended. If 1 set does not have the capacity for your UTV then you would need to use an additional set or additional tie downs (see link) to cover the whole weight of the UTV. A set has a safe working load limit of 1,500 pounds and a break strength...

  • How To Mount The Erickson ATV E Track Tie-Down Kit # EM09160
Hey Jim, There isn't directions on how to mount the Erickson ATV E Track Tie-Down Kit # EM09160 because there's a variety of ways these can be mounted. I mounted these on my buddy's trailer about 2 years ago and we just measured the thickness of the boards and got bolts from a local hardware store to fit that length with a bit extra to use a washer and locknut. I personally feel it's a bit more secure to use bolts with a washer or plate to anchor them to the boards over just using some screws.

  • Erickson ATV E Track Tie-Down Kit EM98CV - Can I By An Extra Set Of Chocks?
Hey Steve, thanks for reaching out. So we do offer the # EM98CV kit as a half set, part # EM09160 which comes with 4 chocks and two straps. The chock pieces are not available by themselves, so getting an additional half kit will be your best bet here. You would have a few extra straps, but it doesn't hurt to have a spare I guess.

  • Backing Plates For The Erickson ATV E-Track Tie-Down Kit
Erickson has the spacing for the mounting holes of the # EM09160 before and after the chock at approximately 4-3/8" center to center. Since they unfortunately do not offer a custom backing plate the # e96RR you purchased is going to be the closest option. The elongated front and rear holes are 4-1/2" apart center to center so you could possibly get it to line up straight and fit but you'll likely need to notch either the front or back hole about 1/8" to get the bolts to drop through.

  • Backing Plate for Use with Erickson ATV E-Track Tie-Down Kit EM09160
Erickson does offer a zinc-plated steel backing plate for use with their E-Track products like their ATV E-Track Tie-Down Kit # EM09160. Use part # e96RR. You can see this item's hole dimensions and spacing in the linked photo. Since your trailer deck is aluminum and this plate is steel you will want to isolate them to prevent galvanic corrosion between the two different metals. A coating of paint or other insulating material will do it.

  • Fasteners for Install of Erickson E-Track Wheel Chock
The 2-1/2" Long Torx Trailer Floor and Wall Liner Screw # TFX250ACQ could be used to secure e track wheel chock like the part # EM09160 but it would not be your most ideal solution since this is designed to secure wood to metal. You are wanting to secure metal to wood so using carriage bolts, nuts, and washers will give you the most ideal and secure way to attach the # EM09160.

  • Does Erickson ATV E-Track Tie-Down Kit Work With Golf Cart
Yes it will; a golf cart is absolutely compatible for use with the Erickson tie-down kit you asked about, which is the following part number: - Erickson ATV E-Track Tie-Down Kit w/ Ratchet Straps and Wheel Chocks # EM09160 You just need to ensure your tires are between 10" and 30" in diameter, which the vast majority of golf cart tires are going to be, but I do recommend double-checking just to be on the safe side.

  • Are Backing Plates Necessary for Erickson ATV E-Track Tie-Down Kit # EM09160
It looks like each chock and strap from 2 of # EM09160 will need to be able to hold around 375 pounds to handle the weight of the 2014 Arctic Cat Wildcat X Limited and that is just static load and does not include the forces applied to the chocks and straps when traveling. The more support you have underneath the trailer for the chocks the stronger and safer it will be. If you use just washers they would need to be large diameter washers and 1/8 inch thick if not more to provide the same...

  • Which Two Wheels to Use for Securing UTV with Erickson UTV Strap and Chocks EM09160
It would take an incredibly hard braking situation to lift the rear wheels of a UTV if only the front wheels of it were secured with the Tie Down Kit part # EM09160. Essentially it would only happen if you were in an accident. That being said it is still better to secure the rear wheels. If the UTV was installed facing perpendicular to traffic the two wheels that would be closest to the rear of the trailer would be the ones to use with the straps.

  • How To Attach the Erickson Horizontal E-Tracks To Wood Deck Boards
In order to attach the deck boards to your open trailer, I recommend using 1/2" carriage bolts. These carriage bolts can be either zinc plated or made of stainless steel. They will need to run though both the deck board and trailer frame. In order to then attach the Erickson Horizontal E-Track part # EM59150 so you can use the Erickson ATV E-Track Tie-Down Kit w/ Ratchet Straps and Wheel Chocks part # EM09160, I recommend using standard grade 5 or higher 1/4" hex head bolts along with the...

  • Can Erickson ATV E-Track Tie-Down Kit EM09160 Be Used on Front Wheels of ATV
The Erickson ATV E-Track Tie-Down Kit # EM09160 is intended to secure your trailered 4-wheeled vehicle at the rear tires. The chocks are to be mounted in front of and behind the rear wheels as shown in the linked video and photo. If they were installed on the front tires the rear of the vehicle could lift up off the trailer deck in a hard-braking situation.

  • Recommended Tie-Down Kit for Golf Cart Transported in Pickup
The safest way to secure a 4-wheeled vehicle like a golf cart in a truck bed is to use wheel nets that secure to the truck bed in some manner. The Erickson E-Track Tie-Down Kit # EM09160 is one option that is similar to the Pack 'Em kit you referenced, part # PK-WTD, although I prefer the Erickson since it includes 4 wheel chocks not 2. The Erickson also wins in terms of ease of disconnecting everything, thanks to the spring-loaded E-Track clips which detach easily. You only need to detach...

  • How Can I Secure A Rolling Tool Chest In My Enclosed Trailer
We do have a nice selection of bungee cords and tie-down straps, if you already have a spot where you can anchor them. Personally, I prefer tie-down straps with ratchets. • Parts Needed to Install Erickson ATV E-Track Tie-Down Kit EM09160 on Steel Grid Trailer Deck
Yes, you absolutely can mount the Erickson ATV E-Track Tie-Down Kit # EM09160 to a trailer with a steel grid deck. All you'll want to do is add two of the steel backing plate, part # e96RR, to ensure the load is well distributed across the deck material. I suggest you select stainless steel or galvanized nuts/bolts to install the E-Track wheel chocks and backing plates.
