Question:

Within the next week or so, I am about to order a Lippert Trailair Flex-Air 18K Pin box Lippert P/N LC328492 to replace the existing 1621 Pin box on my 2005 Keystone Everest Model No. 293P, I also intend to order a Demco Hijacker 18K Autoslide Demco P/N DM8550034 Hitch for my 2002 F-250 Super Duty to replace the Reese 16K Slider installed on existing standard Bed Rails. Looking at the Demco information, it states that I will need the larger Capture Plate on the Hijacker Autoslide to accommodate the Trailair Flex-Air mentioned specifically. But the Demco Capture Plate, Demco P/N DM6171 states that they for a Lippert Trailair Rota-Flex Pin box mentioned specifically and does not mention the Flex-Air. My question is, Is that the same Capture Plate or is there a different one for the Lippert Trailair Flex-Air P/N LC328492. I also intend to order the Lippert Equa-Flex cushioned equalizers double eye springs - tandem axle for 6K to 8K Lippert P/N LC279688 which I am assuminginch is correct as the GVWR for the Everest 293P is stated to be at 12,700 lbs. Finally, I know there must be a weight difference between the Demco Hijacker 18K Autoslide Demco P/N DM8550034 and the 21K Autoslide Demco P/N DM8550035 because it has to be built a little beefierinch but is there any notable SIZE difference. I know it would be a serious overkill, since Ive successfully towed with the 16K Reese for 13 years without incident, breakdown or failure of the hitch, ...but Im an Engineer so a certain amount of overkillinch is what I do but since the price for the 21K isnt that much more than the 18K...I sure do like the looks of that Polished Aluminum Diamond Checker Plate inspection/access plates on the 21K hitch. At 67 years old, I would probably get over that real fast the first time I tried to mount or remove the heavier to/from the bed of the truck though Reason I will delay purchase is that I know I need to be there to take delivery on a Truck Delivery like that ...I have pallet forks on my tractor and I will be travelling on business this week and next. The correct capture plate with the Lippert Flex Air pin box # LC328492 is the # DM6171 that you referenced. We confirmed this with our contact at Demco so we know it will work well.

There isn't a size difference between teh 18k Demco Autoslide part # DM8550034 and the 21k part # DM8550035. There is about a 25 lb difference.
