Can the Spring for that Tilts the Thule T2 Bike Rack Be Replaced

Question:
Hi, I have a Thule T2 rack and the spring that retracts the lever and square rod that allows the rack to be moved between the storage and use positions is missing. Can etrailer source this spring for me and/or provide a photo of the inside of the backbone tube so that I can see how the spring is installed? I see this spring isnt included in the Thule spare parts list but can find related discussion threads online so understand the issue is somewhat common. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks

Bryan, that part is not sold separately, unfortunately. To replace this part you'd need to replace the entire shank and backbone assembly with the Replacement 2" Shank for Thule T2 and T2 Classic Bike Carriers # 753-3581.
