Replacement Lock Cylinder Universal Change Key for Thule Lock Cylinders on all Thule Lock Products
Question:
Hi there! Some thief tried to break into my thule roof carrier that was mounted on my subaru outback. All he could do was make off with one of the locks of the carrier. So, I need to install a new lock :- I bought a replacement lock but now see that I may need a replacement key to install it? How does that work please? Thanks

For your replacement lock, I recommend the Universal Change Key for Thule Locks # 853-1251. This will allow you to remove any unlocked Thule lock cylinders and will be used to insert a new Thule lock cylinder. I've attached a video to assist.
If you didn't already order a replacement, I'd recommend the Thule One-Key System Lock Cylinders - Qty 2 # TH450200. This will give you the master key to install and remove an unlocked cylinder. This will also give you two matching cylinders keyed alike and two keys to give you a complete working system again.

I followed your recommendation and got the Thule One-Key System Lock Cylinders - Qty 2 # TH512. Now that the car is finally back from its epic voyage I tried installing the new lock, but it doesn’t fit.You see, the system I have is like this: After the thieves ripped off the lock, this is what is left… What do you think I can do? Is the lock just broken due to the forced removal?Any advice appreciated! Many thanks

In addition to the lock cylinder you bought, you will also want the Replacement Key Shield for Thule Rooftop Cargo Boxes - Qty 1 # 05771. I appreciate the photos as a guide in assisting with replacement parts.

Will the Replacement Key Shield for Thule Rooftop Cargo Boxes - Qty 1 # 05771 work with the Thule 675 Evolution 2100 also? I bought the replacement One-Key System 450200 for the key holes in the side of the cargo box from being broken into. 91752
