Using the Thule Low Seat Adapter on a Townie Electra Bike to Avoid the Mud Guard

Question:

I just purchased a Thule ride along seat hoping it will fit my townie Electra bike that has a awkwardly positioned middle bar. Unfortunately, the bracket has to sit quite low because of that. The seat is also very low. Now once my child puts wait onto it it pushed down onto the mudguard which then pushes into the wheel. Can the low saddle adapter help or is there any other adapter to make it sit higher?! Thanks

The Low Seat adapter, part # TH100300 may help your seat sit higher on your bike, as it is designed for low seat tubes. However, because on the Townie its so low, you may not be able to use the Ride Along with the bike at all.
