Tonneau Cover for 2018 Honda Ridgeline RTL With Bed Liner

Question:

Honda Ridgeline has a locking trunk. Is there a soft roll up cover on the market that allows the trunk lid to open up completely? It appears that all soft roll up covers have a wide rail of sorts that will block the trunk lid from opening completely. Blocks the last six inches of opening. Honda sold hard trifold cover uses L shaped brackets where the factory tie down clips are affixed. Do any of the after market soft/hard trifold cover manufactures use the same L bracket method to secure their covers for the Ridgeline ? Do not wish to cut into the bed liner to secure a locking clamp.

I went through each of the available tonneau covers for your 2018 Honda Ridgeline and the only types available - either soft or hard covers - may require you to cut into your bed liner, but only if it covers the metal flange on the sides. I recommend checking out the Extang Trifecta Signature 2.0 # EX94590, which you can see will only need a small cut in the liner if it covers the bed wall flange and mounts on top of your Honda's bed rails so you can have full access to the Ridgeline's in-bed trunk.
