Compatibility of Malone Steeltop Roof Rack and Rooftop Tent

Question:

i see these are rated for just over 120 lbs. I want to mount a roof top tent at 4 points. does this add up to almost 500 pounds total along with the contact points of the fixed vehicle rails? the weight is only an issue when vehicle is parked and distributed across the entirety on the tent floor and frame.

The rooftop tents like the Yakima SkyRise Tent for Roof Rack Crossbars - 2 Person - 400 lbs # Y07436 or 3 person # Y07437 distribute the weight differently than most other roof mounted accessories due to the stabilizing ladder and tray. The weight of the 3 person tent for traveling is just 120 lbs and the 2 person is 95 lbs. Both of these systems will work well with the Malone SteelTop Roof Rack.
