I believe this is partly incorrect, doesn this refer to the thickness of the D-ring mounting point? Question: When you say 1inch thick or 3/4inch thick are you talking about the width of the adapter where the pin go through the bumper. See attached picture which would be a 1inch think bumper d-ring attachment. asked by: Jeffery W Expert Reply: The 3/4 or 1 inch thick for adapter # RM-035 and # RM-035-1 respectively refers to the diameter of the hole the D-Ring goes through. So if the mount has 3/4 inch diameter holes you would use # RM-035 and if it has 1 inch diameter holes use # RM-035-1.

The dimensions of the bumper mount adapters for Jeep Wranglers # RM-035-1 which is 1 inch and # RM-035 which is 3/4 inch is referring to the thickness of the shackle mounts. They have adapter pins which allow them to fit 1 inch and 7/8 inch diameter holes.

My d-rings are 7/8” thick. I bought the RM-035-1 adapters for 1” thick plate.But the actual width of the adapter opening Is 1.25” making for a sloppy fit. What is the actual dimensions of the opening on the RM-035 adapter for 3/4” D-rings?? If it’s oversized as the 1” adapter is it will probably be a perfect fit.
