I have a 6K Equalizer Hitch, and to upgrade to 10K. Do I need to replace the whole unit, or just the spring bars?

You would not be able to simply replace the spring bars on your Equal-i-zer # EQ37060ET weight distribution hitch. Instead you would need to get both the 1,000 lb tongue weight spring bars # EQ90-01-1099 as well as the 1,000 lb head unit # EQ90-02-1000.
