Question:

Hello, How do I remove the pre-installed brass bushings on the Lippert Equa-Flex. I want to install the Lippert Never Fail bushings, but need to remove the brass bushings, but I cannot figure out how to get them out. Thank you

The Equa-Flex Cushioned Equalizers - Double Eye Springs - Tandem Axle - 6K to 8K # LC279688 used to come with the Never Fail bushings already installed. So if you needed to replace them, they were covered under your warranty. Currently they use bronze bushings like # D014-077-00 so they aren't warrantied the same.

To remove them, you will want to use a wood dowel as a punch to work them out as they are pressed in according to my contact at Lippert. He said it will take a little work, but the wood dowel is the best way to remove them without causing damage to the equalizer.

You are wise to use the Never Fail bushings throughout your system. I think you'll really appreciate them.
