For a brake controller, I usually recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 because it is a great controller that is easy to use with its LCD display. Because you don't need anything fancy, I recommend a similar unit in the Primus IQ # TK90160 which will have many of the same functions in a more traditional format.
Either one is a proportional brake controller allow the trailer brakes to be applied at the same time and with the same pressure as you hit the brake pedal in your Tundra. It will work with the 2 axles and 4 brakes without issue and give you diagnostics to maintain proper function. I've attached some videos to assist.
Since you already have the tow package, I recommend the custom adapter # 3040-P. This will allow you to simply plug the controller into your dash wiring. The harness is located underneath the dash, to the left of the steering column, taped to another harness near the emergency brake pedal.
