For your 2000 Chevy Blazer, I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13300. This Class III hitch is confirmed to fit your vehicle and will use existing holes in the Blazer's frame for a no-drill installation. This sturdy hitch has a towing weight capacity of 4,000 pounds and a tongue weight capacity of 400 pounds.
I have attached the written installation details that you can use for reference.
Since it sounds like you will be doing some towing, you will also need a trailer connector at the rear of your vehicle to power the trailer's signal lights. If your Blazer does not already have a factory connector but does include the tow package, I recommend the Curt Vehicle Wiring Harness # C55411. This will connect directly to the built-in harness beneath the vehicle on the passenger side. If your Blazer does not have the tow package, you can use the Tekonsha 4-Pole Hardwire Kit # 18252 to install the needed 4-Way connector.
I have attached the installation details for these harnesses as well that you can check out.
Lastly, you will need a ball mount to tow your trailer. I have attached an article that explains how to choose the best one for towing your trailer level, along with a link that will take you to our available selection.
