Question:

What electrical hookup fits the wiring bracket that comes with the RM-52289-4 baseplate.......Item 30637 ? Would be the front of the towed vehicle. Please advise. Thanks and have a great day.2017 Ram 1500

For your 2017 Ram 1500, along with the Roadmaster EZ Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # RM-52289-4 I recommend the Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar - Motorhome Mount - 2" Hitch - 6,000 lbs # RM-520. You will also need safety cables like # RM-645.

Then for your wiring, I recommend the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267. This will give you a 6-way connection on the front of your truck and will utilize your factory wiring while protecting it using diodes. The coiled connection cable will connect a motorhome 7-way to your truck's front mounted 6-way to provide 12V power to your truck.

For your supplemental braking system, I recommend the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System - Proportional # SM99251. This will apply your truck brakes at the same time and with the same intensity as you hit the brakes in your motorhome. This system needs adjustment only at installation and then becomes a plug and play unit that is a favorite with our installers. Your vehicle requires the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751460 which will allow the brake lights to function when the ignition is in the tow position.
