what type of wiring connection does the PK12800 require? is it just a terminal connection or solder?

I spoke with my contact at Pollak and he informed me that this 2-Pole Trailer Connector is designed to be soldered to 4-6 gauge wire.
In order to accomplish that you will need to take the unit apart and remove each terminal from the plastic housing and solder each of the connectors individually.
You may also be interested in a 2-Pole Socket Connector, part # PK12801.
