Installing the Saris Bones 2-Bike Rack on a 2016 Subaru Outback

Question:

Do the bottom supports go on the rear door or the bumper? Where do I attach the side straps? On the glass?

For the Saris Bones 2 Bike Carrier - Adjustable Arms - Trunk Mount - Black # SA805BL to fit properly on your 2016 Subaru Outback, the bottom supports will go on the rear bumper. The side straps need to be replaced with the Hatch Huggers for Saris Trunk Mount Bike Racks # SA3035 which will simply fit in the gap and will cinch tight when the hatch is closed.

I recommend the Saris Cable Lock - 8' Long # SA981 as well as the Swagman Deluxe Bike Frame Adapter Bar for Women's, Children's, and Alternative Frame Bikes # 64005 to give your bikes level transport as well as secure them to your rack. You may also want to consider using the Thule Passive Security Strap for Trunk Mounted Bike Carriers # TH533 to further secure your rack to your Outback.
