Helpful Expert Reply:
For standard 3,500 lb axles the correct bearing kit is the part # BK2-100 which comes with L44649 and L68149 bearings.
Bearing Buddy Protectors # BB1980A-SS are the ones most commonly seen on 3,500 lb hubs. This is designed to fit a hub bore of 1.980 inches.

We have a 3500 lb dexter 5-lug drum brake axle. It is surge brakes. I am at a total loss for the axle model #. But I do know otbisba dexter and its the 5-lug and its rated at 3500# I can't get the caliper to give me a read on the id of the wheel hub (tire forces it out too far to get a reading). We lost 1 of the bearing buddies we had (must a been a bad bump) and the other is barried into a hub-o-meter. Would like, ideally, 1 bearing buddy & 1 brayden for it. But if we have to get a full pair of both I guess it is what it is.... Please advise as beat as u can. If I gota take apart the hub-o-meter mount to get u an od of the bearing buddy or id of the hub let me know please. And ty.
