Question:
I own a Haulmark Transport 2500 lbs trailer. I need a jack to change the tires. Will the Ram Scissor Stabilizer Jack work?

Expert Reply:
Scissor jacks for trailers or RVs such as # TJSC-24 are not meant to lift the trailer/RV off the ground. They are meant as support only. What I recommend is a bottle jack such as # ALL647501. This is a 24,000 pound jack that has a lift range of 8-1/4 inches to 16-5/16 inches.
Need more lift? Bottle jack # ALL647503 is rated for 40,000 pounds and has a lift range from 9-11/16 inches to 17-5/8 inches. The great thing about bottle jacks is they are compact, easy to store, and can also be used on vehicles should the need arise.
