Question:
I have to replace my old landing motor assembly with the newpne you are sending my. Can I just replace the assembly without shoring up the trailer or should I replace the landing assembly when trailer trailer is on the trucks fith wheel assembly.

You will definitely want to have the trailer supported in some way when working on the landing gear. The easiest way is to have the trailer coupled to the 5th wheel hitch in the truck but I would also have some secondary support just to be safe. You could use floor jacks and jack stands (provided they are rated high enough) on the frame as far forward as you can place them.
