Can the P3 Brake Controller Mount Vertically

Question:
can I mount my P3 vertically as long as it is horizonally in line with direction of travel? Thanks

I attached two pictures that show how the P3 part # 90195 can be mounted. As long as it is squarely facing the rear of the vehicle and level side to side the controller can be totally vertical.
