I do not see 1500hd as an model option I have a 2002 chevy Silverado 1500hd will this hitch be compatible with it

I checked with Draw-Tite and trailer hitch # 41932 is a fit for the 2002 Chevy Silverado 1500HD! I also recommend etrailer.com Ball Mount Kit - 3" Rise or 4" Drop - 16,000 lbs Item # EBMK2416. If the ball mount kit does not have the right rise or drop to tow the trailer level, use the link I have included that explains how to measure to choose a ball mount to tow the trailer level.

If your truck does not have the factory installed 7-Way trailer connector you can add one. Check up above the spare for a wire bundle. This is the tow package wiring. If it is just wires and no plug use # PK11898 to add a connector. If it has a round plug use # 30955.
