For your 2016 Honda CR-V, I recommend the Saris Bones 2 Bike Trunk Mounted Rack, # SA805BL.

The Saris Bones is a lightweight rack that can carry two bikes with a weight capacity of 35 lbs per bike. The racks arched design will allow it to fit over most vehicle spoilers and articulating rubber feet and vinyl-covered hooks will not damage your vehicle's finish.

To mount this rack on your Honda CR-V, Saris recommends using the Hatch Huggers for Saris Trunk Mounted Bike Racks, # SA3035. These straps will replace the standard top hooks for a more custom fit for the CR-V. The straps will feed through opening between your hatch and the roof line of the CR-V.

When rack is mounted to vehicle, DO NOT use the rear wiper. Also, the flat part of the foot must sit against the vertical surface of the trunk and the toe rests within one inch of the bumper.

If you plan on carrying any women's or alternative framed bikes without horizontal top tubes you may also be interested in purchasing a Kuat Bike Frame Adapter Bar # UB01 to provide a horizontal top tube on your bikes to provide an attachment point.
