Question:

Looking for a fifth wheel hitch to fit my 2015 F250 SD, 6.2L, 4x4. Looking at the different hitches the Demco Autoslide DM8550034 looks like a great hitch. Do you know what bed rails I would need for this? Also does it have the ability to accomodate a gooseneck adapter for my work trailer? Thank you

The Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider - Single Jaw - Above Bed - 18,000 lbs # DM8550034 is an excellent hitch for your 2015 Ford F-250 Super Duty 4x4. I personally think this is the best hitch available for short bed trucks because it has the autoslide ability to give you the clearance you need for safe turning. This hitch connects to industry standard 5th wheel rails, so I recommend the Demco Hijacker Premier Series Above-Bed Base Rails and Custom Installation Kit for 5th Wheel Hitches # DM8552000-71 which have custom brackets for your truck or the Reese Quick-Install Custom Base Rails and Outboard Installation Kit for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # RP56016-53 which are much easier to install because of their additional rail length so you don't have to work around as many other components in a small space.

A gooseneck trailer adapter will not work with this autoslide hitch. For a hitch that is compatible, I recommend the Curt A20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ R20 Slider - Dual Jaw - 20,000 lbs # C16541 along with a gooseneck to 5th wheel adapter like # KPG5-Q25-IP or # KPG5-R25-IP. This will allow you to use the manual sliding hitch with the adapter for a gooseneck trailer.

You may also want to consider adding a 7-way wiring connection to the bed of your truck for easier access and connection. I recommend the Bargman 5th Wheel/Gooseneck 90-Degree Wiring Harness w/ 7-Pole Plug - 9' Long # 50-97-410.
