Location of Brake Control Connector on 2006 Dodge Ram 2500

Question:

where is the hookup location under the dashboard on an 06 dodge ram 2500 its not in the same location as the 07 ram 1500 that I had before

If your Ram is equipped with the tow package including the 7-way trailer connector on the rear bumper, the connector for installing your brake controller will be located above the white junction box behind and a bit above the emergency brake pedal. The connector is usually light blue in color. If the plug is present, you'd need the # HM47755 brake controller wiring to install the Hopkins Agility brake controller in your Ram.

If your Ram was not equipped with the trailer connector, the brake controller connector under the dash will not be present, and the controller will have to be hardwired using our Brake Controller Install Kit, part # ETBC7. A 4-pole trailer connector will also be needed, part # 119178KIT.

I will provide links to an installation video and other helpful details including the instructions for the install kit, see the provided links. The video shows the install kit being used on a different vehicle, but the procedure would be the same with your truck.
