Question:
I have the Curt 15809 and it hangs too low on my truck, I was looking at the 15704 but no one has the dimensions on both hitches, I know the 15704 doesnt hang as low as the 15809 but whats the height difference?

I went out to our warehouse to take a look at the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C15704 referenced in your question. I measured a distance of right at 10 inches from the top of the mounting brackets to the bottom of the hitch receiver. You can take this measurement down from where the hitch attaches to the frame on your Ram to see exactly where the bottom of the receiver will sit.
For comparison, the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C15809 that you have installed has a distance of 12.9 inches from the top of the bracket to the bottom of the receiver, which means the # C15704 will give you almost 3 inches of additional ground clearance.
I have attached the installation instructions for this hitch that you can also take a look at.
