Tips for Adjusting the Cradles on the Thule Passage Trunk Mount Bike Rack
Updated 06/12/2017 | Published 06/09/2017 >
Question:
Step 12 of the instructions say that the cradles can either be rotated or shifted on bars to accommodate different bike geometries but it doesnt say *how* to do it. I am unable to budge them at all, they are stuck solid. Please advise.

Cradles on most bike racks are a very tight fit so as not to allow them to slide while bikes are loaded. To move the cradles on the Thule Passage # TH910XT grab a cradle firmly and apply a twisting motion back and forth while pushing or pulling on the cradle at the same time (depending on which direction you want the cradle to go). Once you get it started it will get easier. You can also spray some hairspray on the arms in the direction you want the cradle to go. Hairspray is, at first, slippery but then becomes tacky which will also help keep a cradle in place once it has moved.
