I have a roadmaster base plate on my 2001jeep Grand Cherokee my question is is a 1/2 inch pin for the tow bar big enough?

The hitch pin I recommend for a 2 inch receiver tow bar is 5/8 inch like # PC3. For a locking hitch pin to secure your tow bar to your motorhome, I recommend the Blue Ox Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock for 2" Hitches # BX8858.
A 1/2 inch pin is not big enough.
