How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and today we're gonna take a look at the TowSmart hitch receiver lock. So what this does for you, it's gonna work for both your 5/8 diameter and your half inch diameter ball mount hole. So essentially what this does, you have a sleeve on the inside where you can change it from one to the other. You can see that you have a O ring in here to help keep moisture out. So that's gonna work well and you have a weather cap that keep debris and moisture out of your lock core. This is gonna be more one of the more difficult ways to get through a lot, but more than anything, when you have these types of devices on your trailer, it's gonna help work as a deterrent.
'Cause you know you really can't stop someone from doing something bad. However, you would be able to make them go to a softer target and just leave your stuff alone. So that's the best case on here. So we're gonna take this guy right outta here. This is our 5/8 diameter and we're gonna slide it in here and we're gonna put our sleeve on.
So now we're gonna take off the pin and clip that comes here with the kit here from TowSmart. And this is a half inch diameter. You're gonna insert our sleeve and go into our receiver hole. And now we're able to secure our trailer to our receiver. Overall, you have a lot of options when it comes to receiver locks, but this one's cool because it's versatile.

My van has an integrated hitch receiver built into the bumper. This makes it hard to find a proper fitting locking pin, but this pin fit like a glove.
