Recommended Backup Camera for Forest River Trailer

Question:

Can I get this and the bracket and put it on my trailer easily? Item # FOS48TA-BL Can I splice into one of the red lights at the top of my trailer in the back for power? I have a Forest River 273QBXL that I just purchased. Will the camera transmit ok with that trailer length?

The Furrion Digital Wireless Observation System # FOS43TASF will work great on your Forest River Trailer with the included mounting bracket. This camera will work on vehicles that are up to 100 feet long, so you will have no signal issues with your trailer that looks to be around 33 feet in length.

The camera will just need to be wired to a circuit that sees 12 volts when you want the camera to activate. For example, if you connect it to running lights on your trailer, the running lights will need to be on for the system to operate. If you would like to install it as a reverse camera, you can wire the camera to the circuit that comes on when the vehicle is reversing, such as the reverse lights.

The camera along with the mounting bracket will install easily on your trailer. You will just connect the camera plug to the camera power cord inside the bracket, then attach the camera bracket onto the trailer with 4 screws.

Will a Furring Vision S 5 Wireless RV Backup System Camera Model FOS05TADS work on my 2020 forest river mini lite.. it’s only 22ft

The Furrion 5" Vision S Backup System, which we have as part # FCE48TASL-05, will work great on your Forest River Mini Lite. I believe this trailer is equipped with the pre-wired bracket that allows for super easy installation, but even if not the Vision S will install and work great. It's wireless range is 492 feet so your 22 foot camper isn't a problem at all.

We have a 2019 Forest River Flagstaff 832FLSB. Can you tell me what backup camera would be compatible with this camper?

It does look like your Flagstaff comes pre-wired for the Furrion camera setup (just check the rear of the camper for an existing camera bracket to be sure). With this in mind the above-mentioned Furrion # FOS43TASF will work perfectly. If you want a bigger monitor the 7" # FOS07TASF will work great as well.
